Eight events, five different countries, twenty races
The format proves itself, as the large number of races efficiently spread over eight weekends answering the demands of teams in the 2-litre series. In this way, young driver talent gets a maximum of opportunities to develop their racing skills and experience.
Eleven teams registered for full season
The series welcomes a considerable number of EUROCUP teams, such as 2011 EUROCUP champion Josef Kaufmann racing. On top, MP Motorsport and Manor Competition have joined forces and registered a minimum of five cars to the full season of eight weekends. The organization is also delighted to confirm registrations from Belgian KTR, Swiss Daltec Racing, Austrian Interwetten.com Racing and Czech Krenek Motorsport.
Equally important, the Northern European Cup is built on a substantial amount of teams that are committed only to the NEC. SL Formula Racing has two drivers signed, Van Amersfoort Racing add another two and also Polish Inter Europol Competition will join the grid with two singleseaters. What is more, Speedlover from Belgium has registered and signed for another season of competitive motorsport.
NEC refunds on Michelin Tyres
To make the series even more attractive, the organization and HGS tyre supplier have implemented a refund on the Michelin tyres. To compensate teams for the significant raise in tyre prices, a team registered for a full season of the series will receive a refund of 20 Euros per tyre in sum.
