NEC heads for Czech Truck Prix

27/08/12 - The Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup continues it’s Central European tour. After the Red Bull Ring in Austria just last weekend, the full paddock of NEC now travels to the racetrack of Most. The Truck Prix hosts the sixth round of the cup, offering three races during the upcoming weekend of 1 and 2 September.

The main event in Most is the round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship. A full weekend of Renault products, as not only the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC shows at the Czech track, but the Renault Clio Cup Bohemia also joins the programme.

Jake Dennis managed to build on a progressing gap to Jordan King during the last AvD weekend at the Red Bull Ring. King will be eager to book his first victory, and Most might be the place to do so. Meanwhile, Josh Hill is catching up. At the Red Bull Ring he showed his potential by driving from 19th to 4th position in the second race.

The weekend starts on Thursday already and includes some extensive testing. The 33 registered drivers get to find the optimal setup for the three races spread over Saturday and Sunday. After a number of free practices, the official start of the weekend takes place with the two qualifying sessions on Saturday at 11.05. The first race will then follow at 15.00 that same day. Sunday hosts the last two, commencing at 9.35 in the morning, finishing race number three at 14.50.
