NEC presents calendar for 2013
17/12/12 - The Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup presents the definite calendar for 2013. Next to the annual visits to Grand Prix tracks such as Spa – Francorchamps and the Hockenheimring, the series now makes a first time visit to the United Kingdom. The grid is expected to match the numbers of 2012, promising a full, action packed and exciting eighth season of Formula Renault 2.0 NEC.
The Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup has a seven-weekend calendar for the upcoming season. Beside the new addition of Silverstone, the NEC will drive the full Grand Prix course at the Nurburgring again. The calendar is filled with popular events such as the Blanc Pain Endurance Series, the Gamma Racing Day in the Netherlands and the Truck Prix in Czech Republic.
The series welcomes the Formula Renault 2.0 with the 2013 update with a number of improved features. The chassis is again manufactured by Tatuus and passed the latest norms set for the FIA F3 2012 homologation. Although the number of horsepower remains the same, the car is expected to show improved lap times on all tracks. To give teams more opportunity to test the new car, the organization of the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC booked additional collective testing days at Assen and the Nurburgring.
