25/07/14 - Double pole and one win this weekend for Kevin Jörg (Josef Kaufmann Racing) makes it the first double win for a driver this season. Second on the podium, Ben Barnicoat of Fortec Motorsports, now leads the championship by one point. Third placed driver in the championship Louis Delétraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing), finished third.

Tomorrow can see another leader in the championship as the top three are very close. Barnicoat leads with 140 points, Schothorst (Manor MP Motorsport) has 139 and Delétraz 127 points. Barnicoat starts race two tomorrow in sixth place, Schothorst in third and Delétraz in fourth. Kevin Jörg is 11th in the chamionship and not a contender for the title as he only does some races in the FR2.0 NEC.

1. Kevin Jörg, (SUI) #15 (Josef Kaufmann Racing): “I had a good day today, with good qualifying and a good race. I started from pole and never looked back. I really hope to repeat this tomorrow.”

2. Ben Barnicoat (ENG) #33 (Fortec Motorsports): “I am happy leading the championship now, but we’ll see tomorrow… I had a hard race with my rearbrakes locking up. But I managed to stay ahead of Louis as the gap was just big enough. I really hope to finish well tomorrow to stay ahead in the championship.”

3. Louis Delétraz (SUI) #15 (Josef Kaufmann Racing):: I had a good start and a good race. I was a bit faster than Ben but could not overtake. It’s my third podium this year, so I am happy.”

Race 1 at Spa was very succesful for the Josef Kaufmann Racing team.

Lars Kaufmann, teammanager: “I am a very happy man, not only did we have two drivers on the podium but also four drivers in the top six”.
