The penultimate round of the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup: the battle for the championship heats up!

26/08/14 - Louis Delétraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing) is since the last race at Assen (NED) the leader of the championship with 184 points. He is only one point ahead of Steijn Schothorst (MP Manor Motorsport), who is followed very closely by Ben Barnicoat (Fortec Motorsports) with 180 points. So the question is: who will be the leader of the championship after this weekend?

This coming weekend the Formula Renault 2.0 will visit Most (Czech Republic) and has three races on its programme. After a full test day on Thursday and some free practice sessions on Friday, Saturday will see the young and talented drivers fight for a good qualifying position and battle it out in the first race. Race 2 and 3 will take place on Sunday.

Lars Kaufmann, teammanager Josef Kaufmann Racing: “For this weekend I do hope all my four drivers will finish all three races. Of course I hope with good results and with as many points possible, but crossing the finish line is the most important thing to do.”

Louis Delétraz, car number 17, Josef Kaufmann Racing: “I am looking foward to this weekend and hopefully increase my lead in the championship. It is an important weekend as there are three races and many points to win. Last year I was here as well and like the layout of the circuit.”
